SANIBEL, Fla. (Nov. 22, 2010) – The public is invited to Lily & Co.’s Simply Festive Holiday Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 27, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the jewelry gallery at 520 Tarpon Bay Road, Sanibel.  The event’s featured speaker will be jewelry designer Charles Krypell, whose 18K gold creations blend diamonds and colored gems in a variety of designs and styles.

Guests can bring an unwrapped gift for a child, as well as enter a drawing for a chance to win a Krypell-designed piece valued at $2,000. Tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six, and are available now.  Gifts and proceeds from the drawing will be donated to Friends Who Care, a Sanibel-based nonproft that has been helping people in need for more than 15 years. There will be food, as well as entertainment by André & Soli.

Lily & Co. supports a variety of community organizations throughout the year since opening in 2006.

“It’s important for us to help others whenever we are able to,” said Dan Schuyler, a co-founder of Sanibel’s first jewelry gallery. “Events like this really help those nonprofits that are seeing less and less donations because of the economy. Of course that in turn benefits individuals and families in need.”

The gallery’s other co-founder, Karen Bell, is equally excited about Krypell’s attendance and his works of art.

“He really is well respected for his jewelry collections, both by his clients and fine jewelers the world over,” she said. “Our guests have a lot of fun trying on his pieces. They love it.”

Krypell’s collections include Precious Pastels Collection, the Pastel Collection and Sterling by Krypell. Each is a timeless collection of distinctive jewelry that pushes the boundaries of sensuous and elegant design, Bell said.
