Lily & Co. Jewelers recently supported the 8th Annual Madisen’s Match Tennis Charity event by donating a handsome Rolex Submariners watch for the auction gala. More than $81,000 was raised that evening.
“We are so delighted over the success this year’s Madisen’s Match,” said Lily & Co. Owners Dan Schuyler and Karen Bell. “It was a record-breaking weekend with intense bidding during the live and silent auctions.”
In addition to the luxury watch, trips and fine art went to the highest bidders in support of pediatric and adult cancer treatment. The generosity was on full display when much-needed medical equipment was purchased for the Golisano Children’s Hospital and The Lee Memorial Regional Cancer Center.
More than $19,000 was donated to purchase a Gesturetek Cube for the Madisen’s Match Playroom when the Children’s Hospital opens next April. In addition to the Gesturetek Cube, a mobile nursing computer station was purchased for immediate use at the Lee Memorial Cancer Center.
“We thank all of our participants, sponsors, donors and event supporters who helped make 2016 our best year ever, raising more than $150,000 for Lee Memorial” said Madisen’s Match Founder Duane Chaney.
Madisen is Chaney’s niece who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at the age of three and became the inspiration behind Madisen’s Match – to help others facing the same struggles.
