We are thrilled to announce the return of the Mazza Spring Trunk Event April 6-9 with special guest Steven Mazza, fifth generation jeweler. It’s just in time to unveil the Mazza spring collection.
“Everything we do is nature inspired” said Mazza, whose family has been crafting fine pieces of jewelry since the 1840s in a small town near Naples, Italy. “We try to keep things in their natural state for very colorful jewelry a woman can wear to express her individual personality.”
The family business started with coral, which they harvested, then hand-carved. Today, Mazza is recognized for their use of color gemstones. So pieces are not trendy one season and out the next, Mazza chooses to focus on color.
Designs are inspired by architecture or the element itself, such as shells or pearls, to create fashionable pieces. “They are certainly wearable, enduring designs women will enjoy for years and years to come,” Mazza said.
Mazza has long known the beauty of natural shells like the ones strewn on the beaches of Sanibel Island. They are always incorporated into his collections. “It crosses demographics, from young to old, in the same way people are drawn to the sea,” he said.
Mazza’s distinguished pieces are hand-crafted in New York, which allows the family-run business to have a close relationship in the creation of each inspiring piece of jewelry. “It is just one way Mazza sets itself apart,” said Lily & Co. Owners DanSchuyler and Karen Bell.
Steven Mazza will be on hand throughout the Spring Trunk Event and invites everyone to experience the newest styles only at Sanibel’s Lily & Co. Jewelers, 520 Tarpon Rd.
“We are delighted to host the Mazza Spring Trunk Event and have Steven as our guest,” Schuyler and Bell said. “It is a great way to get a sneak peek at the new spring styles from the Mazza collection.
